Yellowtail Wrasse

Anampses meleagrides

IP with white spots arranged in horizontal rows. One eyespot each at the back on dorsal and anal fin.

Size : 42 cm

Habitat : Prefers mixed coral, rubble, and sandy areas, 3-60 m. Adult male usually alone, juveniles and females often in small, loose groups. Feeds on small bottom-dwelling invertebrates.

Distribution : Red Sea and East Africa to S Japan, Micronesia and French Polynesia.
