Rainbow Monocle Bream

Scolopsis temporalis

Two blue horizontal stripes on the snout. Black spot above the rear eye rim. Very similar to S. Monogramma.

Size : 40 cm

Habitat : Above sand surfaces of lagoons and coastal reefs, 5-35 m. Usually swims alone, also in small groups.

Distribution : Sulawesi and the Moluccas, to PNG, Solomins and Fiji.
