Strapweed Filefish

Pseudomonacanthus macrurus

Colouration very variable. Numerous small dark dots on the body.

Size : 18 cm

Habitat : Inhabits lagoons and outreefs, to about 12 m depth. Often above sand and rubble ground as well as in seagrass fields.

Distribution : Parts of the Indian Ocean, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, to the Philippines and PNG.
