Threadfin Anthias

Pseudanthias huchtii

Male: body is lilac colored, red stripes from the eye to the pectoral fin base. Female: pale yellow green, yellow caudal fin edges.

Size : 12 cm

Habitat : In clear, coral-rich lagoons and out reefs, 3-20 m. Alone or in small groups, snaps at zooplankton at the reef edge or in protrusions.

Distribution : Indonesia to the Philippines, Palau, Solomons, GBR and Vanuatu.
