Arborophila javanica

Description

Arborophila javanica is a bird endemic to Indonesia, namely the island of Java. The head and nape are reddish, there is a black ring-shaped mark on the head. The chest is gray, the lower abdomen is reddish brown, and the middle part of the abdomen is white. The wings are brown with black spots, the face is red with black markings on the beak and throat, the tail is grayish, the eyes and feet are red. Males and females are the same, while juveniles have a white face with a reddish-brown beak.
