  1. Dear Mr Löwenzahn, what about freshwaterfish species, i didn’t find any information on Fishes living in Balis Jungle, nationalpark and ricefields. Surely some labyrinthfish such as Gurami or Betta should be there. What about Barbels, Daniel and so on.
Not zo forget freshwaterschrimp, crabs and lobsters?

    • Hi Mariano,

Thanks so much for your thoughtful comment and great questions!

At the moment, our Bali Wildlife team is just two people — Mr. David, who takes the photos, and myself (Wayan), who maintains and updates the site. We haven’t had the time yet to explore and document Bali’s freshwater fish and aquatic species, but it’s definitely on our list.

You’re absolutely right — species like Gurami, Betta, Barbs, Danios, and also freshwater shrimp, crabs, and lobsters are likely part of Bali’s ecosystem, especially around rice fields and forest streams. We hope to include them in future updates.

Thanks again for your interest and support!

      Warm regards,
      Wayan – Bali Wildlife Team
