Tasselled Wobbegong

Eucrossorhinus dasypogon

Mouth and side of head with long, tasselled lappets.

Size : 130 cm

Habitat : In shallow, protected reefs, 1-40 m. Loner, always swims directly on or close to the seabed. Usually dormant on the seabed during the day. At night feeds on fish such as long fin and soldier fish and probably also invertebrates.

Distribution : North Australia, East Indonesia to PNG.
