Grey Reef Shark

Dark rear edge of tail fin.

Size : 180 cm

Habitat : Deep atoll lagoons, canals, steep outer reef slopes, 1-274 m. Partly in loose groups during the day. Territorial, large home territories. Feed on fish, cephalopods and crabs. Territorial in the Pacific, known for threatening behaviour. Above the Whitetip and Blacktip Reef Sharks in the hierarchy.

Distribution : Red Sea and East Africa to Taiwan, Hawaii and Easter Islands.
