Rhomboid body, uniformly light grey to brownish. Tail up to three times the length of the body diameter.

Size : body plate 150 cm

Habitat : On sandy surfaces in lagoons and outreefs, from shallow water to 200 m. Individual, some-times also in larger groups.

Distribution : South Africa, the Maldives, India, Thailand to the Mariana Islands, NW Australia and Tuamotus in French Polynesia.
