Yellowface Wrasse

Halichoeres solorensis

Head yellowish-green with pale stripe pattern. Body mauve-coloured to grey.

Size : 18 cm

Habitat : Lagoons and coastal reefs, above coral as will as on sand and rubble zones, usually in low depths to about 10 m. Female often in groups. Feeds on bottom-dwelling invertebrates.

Distribution : Indonesia to the Philippines and the Moluccas.
