Halichoeres prosopeion

Head and parts of the body front are grey-blue with a flowing transition to a whitish-yellow to yellow rear of body. Black spot in front on the dorsal fin.
Juvenile phase with dark horizontal stripes and black spot in front on the dorsal fin.

Size : 13 cm

Habitat : In lagoons and outerreefs with rich coral growth, 2-40 m. Swims alone or in small, loose groups.

Distribution : Indonesia to SW Japan, Palau, Samoa and SE Australia.
