Redbreasted Wrasse

Cheilinus quinquecinctus

Large adults with ragged tail. A forked white stripe is drawn above lower and upper jaw from the corner of the mouth. Very similar to C. fasciatus without the ragged tail.

Size : 36 cm

Habitat : Prefers mixed coral, sand and rubble zones, 4-40 m. Relatively common and not shy. Feeds on bottom-dwelling invertebrates.

Distribution : Red Sea.
