Pastel Ring Wrasse

Hologymnosus doliatus

TP and IP with numerous blue vertical stripes. TP: and additional whitish crossband at the front of its body.
Juveniles are cream-coloured with three red horizontal stripes. Frequently keep close together in small groups.

Size : 38 cm

Habitat : In lagoon, outreefs and bays above mixed zones of coral, sand and rubble, 3-30 m. Male with large territory and harem females.

Distribution : Southern Red Sea, S Oman and East Africa to S Japan, Micronesia, Line Island, Samoa and SE Australia.
