Diana’s Hogfish

Bodianus diana

TP: Black spot at tail root. Dorsal side with 4-5 white, ventral and anal fins with red patches. Juveniles with numerous white spots and short lines. They also work as cleaner fish and like to keep close to sea whips.

Size : 25 cm

Habitat : In rock and coral reefs, 3-50 m. Common in some places, especially at coral-rich slopes.

Distribution : Red Sea and East Africa to S Japan, Micronesia and Samoa.
