Cosmetic Wrasse

Halichoeres cosmetus

Blueish-green with orange horizontal stripes. Juveniles and females with two eye spots on the dorsal fin.

Size : 13 cm

Habitat : In lagoons and outreefs, 3-30 m. Usually in mixed zones of coral, rock and rubble.

Distribution : East Africa, Mauritius, Seychelles, the Maldives to Andaman Sea and Sumatra.
