Bluestreak Cleaner Wrasse

Labroides dimidiatus

TP: Blueish-white. Black, from snout to tail incrasingly broader horizontal stripe.

Size : 12 cm

Habitat : In all reef ecosystems, 1-40 m. Operates cleaner stations, entices numerous fish species with conspicuous waving swim behaviour. Feeds exclusively on skin parasites, mucus and skin residues from its cleaning customers. Adult often in pairs.

Distribution : Red Sea, Arabian Gulf and South Africa to S Japan and French Polynesia.
