Whitebelly Roguefish

Richardsonichthys leucogaster

Dorsal fin deeply gashed between the barbs, especially in the anterior area. In contrast to other waspfish, the head is not laterally flattened, but rather is reminiscent of the scorpionfish.

Size : 8 cm

Habitat : On sand and mud of coastal reefs, 3-90 m. Occasionally partially buried.

Distribution : East Africa to S China and New Caledonia.
