Bridled Triggerfish

Sufflamen fraenatum

Light to dark brown. Juveniles pale with fine black lines and darker back.

Size : 38 cm

Habitat : Prefers open, sparsely overgrown areas with sand and rubble ground, 8-180 m. Juveniles in low depths. Feeds on invertebrates such as mussels, snails, crustaceans, sea urchins, brittle starfish, bristleworms, also fish and algae.

Distribution : East Africa to S Japan, Hawaii and French Polynesia.
