Whitestreak Monocle Bream

Scolopsis ciliata

White horizontal stripe beneath the base of dorsal fin. Some scale rows on the side with yellow spots.

Size : 20 cm

Habitat : Above sand and mud beds of lagoons and protected coastal reefs, 2-20 m. Swims alone or in small loose groups.

Distribution : Andaman Sea to SW Japan, Palau, Yap, Solomons and Vanuatu.
