Whitecheek Monocle Bream

Scolopsis vosmeri

Reddish-brown with white band at the back of the head. Tail yellow or whitish.

Size : 25 cm

Habitat : Inhabits sand, rubble and mudflats of coastal reefs, 2-40 m. Swims alone or in pairs. Feeds on invertebrate bottom-dwellers.

Distribution : Red Sea, Arabian Gulf and East Africa to SW Japan, GBR and PNG.
