Dorsal and anal fin are orange with a narrow, blue edge fringe. Males with long caudal fin filaments.
Size : 45 cm
Habitat : In lagoons and outreefs, 1-90 m. Sometimes in small, loose groups. Grazes on algae on dead coral, rock and rubble grounds. Large males occasionally claim territory.
Distribution : Red Sea to South Africa, S Oman, Andaman Sea and Bali.
