Naso unicornis

Blue tail blades, on ageing, the foregead horn becomes longer, however does not extend beyond the snout.

Size : 45 cm

Habitat : In lagoons, bays and outreefs, 1-80 m. Common species, often in exposed surf regions. Also swims alone, usually however in loose groups. Feeds on leafy algae and sargasso seaweed.

Distribution : Red Sea, S Oman and East Africa to SW Japan, Hawaii and French Polynesia.
