Silvery with up to nine yellow or gold-brown horizontal stripes. Black spot at the pectoral fin base.
Size : 40 cm
Habitat : Inhabits lagoons and out reefs, also in somewhat murky water, 3-35 m. Alone or sometimes in larger groups.
Distribution : India to S China, Solomons and GBR.
