Smalltooth Jobfish

Aphareus furca

Silvery with greenish or blueish shimmer. Large mouth, swallowtail, yellowish-brown stripes on the gill lid.

Size : 40 cm

Habitat : In lagoons and out reefs, 2-120 m. Alone or in small groups. Feeds on fish and crustaceans.

Distribution : Red Sea and East Africa to SW Japan, Panama and Australia.
