Blacktail Snapper

Lutjanus fulvus

Pale yellow. Blackish back and caudal fin. Ventral, anal and pectoral fins are yellow.

Size : 40 cm

Habitat : Inhabits rock and coral reefs, in lagoons and semi-protected out reefs 1-75 m. Alone or in small loose groups. At night, feeds on fish and invertebrate bottom-dwellers.

Distribution : Red Sea and East Africa to SW Japan, Micronesia.
