Many-eyed Snake Eel

Ophichthus polyophthalmus

Reddish-brown to salmon colour (especially the head), with numerous yellow, dark-edge eyes spots.

Size : 35 cm

Habitat : On sand and rubble of lagoons and outreefs, 1-20 m.

Distribution : Mauritius and Reunion to Micronesia, Hawaii and French Polynesia.
