Crocodile Snake Eel

Brachysomophis crocodilinus

Eyes far forward. Usually cream-coloured to light brown with small dark spots.

Size : 80 cm

Habitat : Ambushes passing prey buried in sandy bottom, often only partially visible with their heads.

Distribution : Madagascar, to SW Japan, Australia and French Polynesia.
