Broad to very broad brown-black saddle bands.

Size : 65 cm

Habitat : On sand and seaweed surfaces in lagoons and outreefs, 1-12 m. Feeds on fish and crustaceans.

Distribution : East Africa to S Japan, Micronesia, Hawaii, SE Australia and French Polynesia.
