Thousand-spot Grubfish

Parapercis millepunctata

White, often stipe-shaped spot on the caudal fin. Olive-brown patches on the side as well as on brow and snout.

Size : 18 cm

Habitat : On rubble and sand surfaces near the reef, also on dead stony coral, 3-40 m.

Distribution : Mauritius and the Maldives to SW Japan, Micronesia, GBR and French Polynesia, Pitcairn.
