Java Rabbitfish

Siganus javus

Tail predominantly or totally dark grey to black. Body with numerous light spots. Often only a few horizontal stripes on the belly, but can cover the bulk of the side.

Size : 53 cm

Habitat : In coral and rock reefs along coast, also in estuaries and mangrove regions, 1-15 m. Alone or in small groups.

Distribution : Arabian Gulf to Andaman Sea, the Philippines, NE Australia and Vanuatu.
