Caudal fin clearly forked and usually somewhat blueish.

Size : 43 cm

Habitat : Adult often at outer reef slopes, 1-30 m. Usually moves through the reef in small and sometimes also in large groups, often above mixed coral rubble zones or algae-covered areas.

Distribution : Red Sea and East Africa to SW Japan, GBR and French Polynesia.
