Black Rabbitfish

Siganus fuscescens

Grey with numerous small pale blue to blueish-white spots. Greenish from the brow over the top of the back to the tail.

Size : 30 cm

Habitat : In bays, lagoons and less often along outer reef slopes, 1-10 m. Juveniles in schools, adults usually in smaller groups, sometimes also in pairs.

Distribution : Andaman Sea to SW Japan, Micronesia, Australia, Vanuatu and New Caledonia.
