Guineafowl Puffer

Arothron meleagris

Black with numerous small white spots. There is a relatively common, patly or almost completely yellow variant, which can be very regularly observed in some places.

Size : 60 cm

Habitat : Usually in clear, coral-rich lagoons and outreefs, 1-73 m. Feeds on the tips of branch coral, additionally also on sponges, snails and algae.

Distribution : East Africa to S Japan, Galapagos, Panama and French Polynesia.
