Hippocampus kuda

Brown to brown-black with numerous tiny black and white spots. Crown on the head slipped slightly backwards.

Size : 20 cm

Habitat : On sand, seagrass, between mangroves, 1-12 m, occasionally also in deep water (to 55 m).

Distribution : The Maldives, Andaman Sea, Indonesia to Australia, Solomons.
