Usually intense greenish-blue, lower head area pale blue. A less frequent variant is dusky reddish with yellow fins. Both with high head profile.

Habitat : Inhabits lagoons and outreefs, 3-4 m.
Distribution : Bali to the Philippines and SW Japan, Line Island, SE Australia and Pitcairn.
