Roundhead Parrotfish

Chlorurus strongylocephalus

Terminal-Phase: Yellow cheek spots, steep head profile. Blue caudal fin with long filaments.
Initial-Phase: lower body are reddish, yellow caudal fins with blue back edge and short filaments.

Size : 70 cm

Habitat : Inhabits lagoons and outreefs, 2-35 m. Relatively common. Usually swims alone. Rarely, adults roaming in schools are also encountered.

Distribution : Gulf of Aden and East Africa to Andaman Sea and SW Indonesia.
