Bluebarred Parrotfish

Scarus ghobban

Blueish-green with blue pectoral fins and significant scale marking. IP: yellow with blue, several bands forming patches.

Size : 75 cm

Habitat : Inhabits protected rock and coral reefs, often also in murky and muddy water, 1-35 m. Juveniles also in groups above seagrass fields.

Distribution : Red Sea and East Africa to SW Japan, Galapagos, Panama and French Polynesia.
