Banded Mud Moray

Gymnothorax chlamydatus

Creamy with dark speckles and broad black cross bands.

Size : 70 cm

Habitat : Inhabits coastal areas with sandy to muddy surfaces, 8-30 m. Bores a hole for itself in the soft ground by burrowing with the tail foremost.

Distribution : Indonesia to the Philippines, SW Japan and Taiwan.
