Size : 22 cm

Habitat : In lagoons and outreefs, 1-70 m. Alone, in pairs or in small groups on sand and rubble. Often also buried up to the eyes and nostrils.

Distribution : Red Sea and East Africa to SW-Japan, Hawaii, SE-Australia and French Polynesia.
