Cirrhitichthys aprinus

Brown, light-bordered spot on the gill lid.

Size : 12 cm

Habitat : In rock and coral reefs, 5-40 m. Squats on coral and overgrown hard grounds, also has preference for sponges.

Distribution : The Maldives and Andaman Sea, to S Japan, Micronesia, Cocos Keeling, PNG and GBR.
