Ribbon Sweetlips

Plectorhinchus polytaenia

Pale blue, black-edged horizontal stripes on yellow basic colouration, all fins are yellow.

Size : 40 cm

Habitat : Inhabits lagoons and out reefs, 3-40 m. Often seen in coral-rich regions, readily rests in front of coral blocks or other same-protected places during the day. Feeds at night on invertebrate bottom-dwellers.

Distribution : Indonesia about from Bali to NW Australia, the Philippines and PNG.
