Goldspotted Sweetlips

Plectorhinchus flavomaculatus

Adult are grey. Body with numerous orange-yellow spots. Head with yellow patches and stripes.

Size : 60 cm

Habitat : Inhabits deep lagoons, protected coastal reefs and bays, 3-35 m. Usually alone, occasionally is small groups. Uncommon. Feeds on small fish and crustaceans.

Distribution : Red Sea, East Africa and Oman to SW Japan, PNG and SE Australia.
