Redmouth Grouper

Aethaloperca rogaa

Relative high body, brown to black. Red mouth inside.

Size : 60 cm

Habitat : In coral-rich bays and protected out reefs, 3-50 m. Usually encountered in shelters, usually rest in cavities, also in wrecks. Shy species. Feeds on fish and crustaceans.

Distribution : Red Sea and East Africa to SW Japan, Fiji and GBR.
