Leopard Rockcod

Cephalopholis leopardus

Reddish-brown with cream-color-red patches and speckles. A dark brown, lightly bordered spot above the tail root.

Size : 22 cm

Habitat : In lagoons, coastal and out reefs with good coral growth, 3-35 m. Frequently hidden, e.g. below overhangs and usually shy.

Distribution : East Africa to SW Japan, Micronesia, GBR and French Polynesia.
