Bluespotted Grouper

Cephalopholis cyanostigma

Reddish-brown, slightly mottled, with numerous pale blue, dark-edge spots.

Size : 35 cm

Habitat : Inhabits lagoons and out reefs, 1-50 m. Can be found in zones with seagrass as well as those with good coral growth. Feeds on fish and crustaceans.

Distribution : Andaman Islands and Malaysia to the Philippines, Palau, Solomons and GBR.
