Yellowstripe Goby

Koumansetta hectori

Dark with yellow horizontal stripes. One black spot each on the first dorsal fin and at upper tail root as well as one eyespot on the second dorsal fin.

Size : 6 cm

Habitat : In lagoons and outreefs, 3-25 m. Territorial, inhabits small sand patches, always near reef formations that offer shelter. Usually observed alone and below overhangs.

Distribution : Red Sea and East Africa to SW Japan, Caroline Islands.
