Wire Coral Goby

Bryaninops yongei

Upper body is half transparent with about seven rust-brown patches.

Size : 3.5 cm

Habitat : Exclusively inhabits spiral wiry corals Cirripathes anguinea. These prefer to grow at current-rich outer reef slopes between 3 and 50 m depth. The species lives in pairs on the coral, occasionally also with some juveniles.

Distribution : Red Sea to SW Japan, Hawaii, GBR and French Polynesia.
