Spotted Shrimpgoby

Amblyeleotris guttata

Pale with orange patches on head and body. Ventral fin as well as underside of body front is black, with vertical offshoots in front and rear of the pectoral fins.

Size : 9 cm

Habitat : On sand and fine rubble grounds of clear lagoons and outreefs, 3-35 m. Inhabits a sand pipe along with the snapping shrimp Alpheus ochrostriatus.

Distribution : The Philippines to SW Japan, Micronesia, East Indonesia, Australia and Samoa.
