Valenciennea sexguttata

Black spot at the top of the first dorsal fin. Pale blue cheek spot.

Size : 14 cm

Habitat : In protected bays, lagoons and coastal reefs, 1-10 m. On fine sandy to muddy ground. Adults always in pairs, inhabit burrows they dig themselves below a stone or a piece of deal coral.

Distribution : Red Sea and East Africa to SW Japan, Marshall, Line Islands and Tonga.
