Giant Shrimpgoby

Amblyeleotris fontanesii

Whitish with 5 brown stripes. Small orange-yellow speckles on the head. Because of their unusual size, adults are distinguishable from species of similar colour.

Size : about 18 cm

Habitat : Inhabits sandy to muddy grounds of lagoons and protected coastal reefs, 3-30 m.

Distribution : Sumatra and Gulf of Thailand to SW Japan, Palau and PNG.
